Visit the Bubbly Pools While At Jost Van Dyke

Take a dip in a "natural" jacuzzi at the Bubbly Pools on Jost Van Dyke. Thanks to the angle of the beach, boulders, and incoming waves, when the surf is up, the effect is like someone turned on the jets in a jacuzzi. One moment the pool is calm, the next water rushes in and whirls around! But don't worry, this natural attraction is a safe, family-friendly attraction, as the pools are contained from the open ocean, and are fairly shallow (less than five feet). When the tide is up, this unique geological formation is exciting and exhilarating fun for the whole family.

Get to the Bubbly Pools requires a short, but interesting hike. Embark on your journey not far from Foxy's Taboo Restaurant- owned by Foxy's daughter- and cross a peninsula separating Long Bay from a natural salt pond. Keep your eyes peeled for a variety of interesting birds who nest and feed near the salt pond. Beyond the salt pond, the path winds through some wild grasses before opening to the Bubbly Pools. Many visitors prefer to wear closed-toe shoes on the walk, and even bring a towel and picnic to more fully enjoy an afternoon at the Bubbly Pools.
